Clint Bowyer’s return to Phoenix did not result in a win but was able to manage a respectable sixth. Of course the day was not all easy for Bowyer. On an early pit stop Bowyer ran into one of his crewmen and made contact with another car. The team opted to go ahead and change left side tires. Later in the race Bowyer got heated on his radio telling his spotter and crew chief that they needed to communicate better with him.

Clint Bowyer hits crew member during pit stop

Clint Bowyer hit the gas, as accustomed, when the jack was released on the right side of his car at a pit stop during Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series race at Phoenix. Unfortunatley, crew members were trying to cross in front of the car. He hit one of them, and then proceeded to hit Travis Kvapil’s car, as it was entering the stall in front of him.
