Friends, family: Trickle was in pain
Family and friends said ongoing medical issues could have figured into Dick Trickle's apparent decision to end his own life Thursday at the age of 71.
Trickle, one of the most successful short-track racers of all time, died of an apparent self-inflicted wound on Thursday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boger City, N.C., about 30 miles northwest of Charlotte.

Source: Wallace likely to shut down team
Rusty Wallace is a man of his word.
