People discount locker room chemistry, or at least the power of non-terrible locker room chemistry. You don’t need to like, be friends with, or align with everyone in a locker room … but when one guy is the lynchpin for bringing down the whole joint, it becomes fatal.
Obviously, this is about Rajon Rondo and the Dallas Mavs.
The Mavs have...

LaMarcus Aldridge is one of the best front-court players in the NBA, and the Portland Trail Blazers are hoping to figure out how to lock him up long-term this offseason as he hits free agency. They aren’t going to be alone in their pursuit of Aldridge, and both the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks are expected to pursue him in free agency as...
After the Dallas Mavericks’ NBA title in 2011, owner Mark Cuban infamously hung on to the Larry O’Brien Trophy while making a trip to the men’s urinal after the game.
We can now all relive that precious moment by wearing these really awkward-looking socks. Is the term “rock-em” at the bottom of the socks really the right wording, though?

The Dallas Mavericks are in a tailspin. They won't have Chandler Parsons for the rest of the postseason, and Rajon Rondo's tenure just exploded in their face. But free agency is just on the horizon, and with it could come one of the best 15 basketball players on the planet. The Mavericks will have plenty of cap space this summer if they renounce several of their pending free agents...
After the Dallas Mavericks pulled off a bit of a shocker by upsetting LeBron James and the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals, Mark Cuban took the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy on something of a magical mystery tour, bringing along the iconic trophy everywhere he went, even to places where perhaps it should never...Read More

It’s about time that the Mavericks capitalized on one of the more amusing NBA photos in recent memory. After the team captured their first NBA title in franchise history in 2011, owner Mark Cuban apparently had a great time, as we all expected. Included in his post-NBA Finals exploits was this awesome photo of him

On April 15, the Dallas Mavericks invited hip hop group Naughty By Nature to perform at halftime of their regular season finale, which was also Fan Appreciation Night. The Mavs Dancers joined them for their classic hits "O.P.P." and "Hip Hop Hooray". [DallasMavericks]

Dallas Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo has been ruled out indefinitely with a back injury, reports ESPN’s Marc Stein.
Rondo had four points in 10 minutes in the Mavericks Game 2 loss to the Houston Rockets. He played only 34 seconds in the second half.
Coach Rick Carlisle was asked about Rondo’s effort in Game 2, but said nothing about...
Even before Rajon Rondo was shipped out of Boston in December, it was expected that he’d pursue a maximum contract somewhere when he hits free agency at this season’s end.
Now, it seems unlikely that the former Celtic will find what he’s looking for.
While Rondo said just last month that he’d be open to re-signing with the Dallas Mavericks, that scenario becomes more...
Dallas Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons will reportedly miss the remainder of the team’s first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets after suffering a knee injury late in the regular season.
Parsons—a former Rocket—played 37 minutes in the team’s series-opening loss on Saturday. He put up just 10 points on 5-of-15 shooting, and had to sit out Game 2. He missed...
In a development that hardly could be considered shocking in light of everything that has transpired since his trade to the Dallas Mavericks, Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports that if Rick Carlisle returns as coach of the team, Rajon Rondo is as good as gone and won’t be on the roster next season. Wojnarowski, who...Read More

Something occurred to me midway through the fourth quarter of last night’s Mavericks-Rockets game, right around one of Raymond Felton’s missed layups. The Dallas Mavericks are dangerously undermanned at point guard; so much so that when I say I realized this on a Raymond Felton missed layup you actually have to ask which one. The Dallas Mavericks are also a billion-dollar franchise...
Rajon Rondo had a night to forget on Tuesday, as his Dallas Mavericks dug themselves into a 0-2 series hole against the Houston Rockets. After getting into foul trouble early, Rondo ended up scoring just four points in 10 minutes of play. He had no interest in discussing his poor performance after the game. Rather...Read More
Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki didn't only face off against the Rockets on Saturday. He had to take on a microphone after the game, as well.
After Dallas' 118-108 loss to Houston in Game 1 of the teams' first-round playoff series, Nowitzki met with the media.
Over the course of the Q&A session, though, the power forward kept thinking that his hand-held microphone was off....
Dirk Nowitzki must have been frustrated after his Dallas Mavericks lost to the Houston Rockets on Saturday by a score of 118-108. The forward kept on hitting his microphone, even tossing it aside in disgust at one point, even though the battered mic was in perfect working order. Dirk’s ire was made all the more

It is no mystery for Dallas Mavericks fans that Dirk Nowitzki is losing his touch at the ripe age of 37. Dirk knows, too, that he is no longer able to run this team by himself. He has never been that athletic, typically moves very slow, and has little to no defensive presence. In fact, Dirk’s major contributions have mainly been on the offensive end. He has averaged 20+ points...
If there’s a debate on anything from bottled water to the quality of play in college basketball, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has an opinion on it.
Taking on the perceived tanking problem around the NBA, Cuban shared a rather interesting idea on how to solve it.
Cuban’s plan could potentially make sense.
This is how it would work.
