The Denver Nuggets had zero energy Thursday night in a 99-69 loss to Memphis. Coach Brian Shaw is tired of the lack of effort his team has shown throughout the season.
“I don’t feel like we came and competed from the very beginning of the game,” Shaw said, via The Denver Post. “And I wish in these kinds of situations, I’d have more respect...
Here’s one Grizz who shoulda been an All-Star. Tonight he had a quiet night . . . ONLY 15 points and 17 rebounds in 30 minutes. Photos courtesy of Warren Roseborough.
EDITOR’S NOTE: So the feature image for this story is Mike Conley, who did NOT play in this game against the Denver Nuggets while he nurses a sprained wrist and sore ankles. Why is he the feature image? Because...
So how awesome was Denver’s Kenneth Faried’s monster dunk? Not only did it get fans in New Orleans to react loudly, it also caused the Denver TV announcer to break wind on live TV.
No, I am not kidding.
Don’t believe me? Take a listen!
You might want to check your underpants, sir.

Manimal is at it again.
The Memphis Grizzlies are beating the Denver Nuggets on national television handily but that doesn’t stop Kenneth Faried from throwing down.
Look at Faried take it all the way for the ferocious slam:
The Nuggets will need more of these so that they can make a huge comeback against the Grizzlies. We shall see.

The Denver Nuggets have had an up and down season. But one of the few bright spots of the Nuggets is when Kenneth Faried throws down a nasty dunk.
Like the one in this video against New Orleans:
Quite a statement dunk. Faried doesn’t do a lot of things well on the basketball court outside of his energy play but we do love his assaults at the rim.

Snapping a losing steak – like the Denver Nuggets did Wednesday night by beating the New Orleans Pelicans 93-85 - is always a bit of a mixed blessing. Yes, the Nuggets got off the schnide, but to do that, they did have to lose seven straight in the first place.
In Denver’s particular case, there’s also the worry of where the season is actually headed. With the playoffs...
Arron Afflalo scored 20 points and the Denver Nuggets snapped a seven-game losing streak, 93-85 over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night.
Afflalo hit four 3-pointers, the last with 2:32 left to increase Denver's then-tenuous lead to 89-85. After that, the Pelicans were unable to score another point and saw their four-game winning streak end.
Jusuf Nurkic scored 15 for Denver...
NEW ORLEANS -- The Denver Nuggets say JaVale McGee, who has missed 26 straight games, will be in uniform for Wednesday night's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
McGee has not played since Dec. 5, largely because of a strained muscle in his lower left leg. More recently, he was taken off of Denver's injury report but still held out by coach Brian Shaw.
However, McGee participated...

The calendar doesn’t lie; the 230 days that it shows between now and the next time the Broncos play a meaningful game, most likely slated for Sept. 13, 2015, are painfully true. The chance to wash the bitter taste of the loss to Indianapolis is almost 33 weeks away.
Judging by the first weekend without football – unless someone wants to count the Pro Bowl, which would mean there...
Erick Green has been recalled from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the D-League by the Denver Nuggets.
Green played two games for the Mad Ants this season averaging 21 points and 3.0 assists per game.
This is slightly creepy for some reason.
Denver’s Danilo Gallinari and a little action figure of himself named Galli-mini exchanged some laughs over a joke that went right over my head.
However, the voice for the Galli-mini was all creepy.
It’s definitely no “Little Penny.”

Nuggets starting point guard Ty Lawson is reportedly returning to the lineup on Sunday, two days after an early-morning arrest on suspicion of drinking and driving.
According to The Denver Post, Lawson said that he "apologized to the team," but that the nature of those comments will not be made public. He also said that he met with coach Brian Shaw.
"I talked to him," Shaw said,...
With two teams in full tank mode, the Nuggets made the Celtics look like a legit basketball team. I will also note that Nuggets starting point guard Ty Lawson was a DNP because of a DUI he received the night before. Former Celtic, albeit brief, Jameer Nelson played real well. Evan Turner wilted at the free throw line down the stretch, which left just enough time for Jameer to brick...
While the Denver Nuggets held the lead for the majority of the first half they could never take advantage of the Celtics' mistakes. Whether it was turnovers or bad offensive possessions they often had chances to extend their lead into high double digits but couldn't find the bottom of the basket in those moments. The same could be said about the C's however. Instead of driving to...
No way around it – some upsetting news Friday morning involving Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson. Here is the tweet from the Denver Police Department.

Apparently this is not Lawson’s first incident of this nature either.
DENVER (AP) Denver police say they have arrested Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson for investigation of driving under the influence.
In a statement, the police said Lawson was stopped after an officer saw a car being driven fast and carelessly early Friday.
The Denver Nuggets said the team was aware of the arrest and would have no further comment.

Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of a DUI following a team community event in Denver.

Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson was arrested for driving under the influence on Friday morning, reports Darren McKee of 104.3 The Fan in Denver.

Randy Foye was scrambling for a loose ball in the first quarter of the Denver Nuggets' game vs. the San Antonio Spurs at the Pepsi Center Tuesday night when he got tangled up with defender Kawhi Leonard. Leonard's power sent Foye flying out of bounds and into a beer vendor, causing the brewmaster to spill all of his goods, much of which landed on the Nuggets guard. Randy...
I swear, if there’s any way to cause stoppage of play during an NBA game, there’s no better way for that to happen than to have ice-cold, delicious, nectar of the gods, beer spilled!
Denver’s Randy Foye was chasing the ball along with the Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard. Foye was full steam ahead when he crashed into a waiter, spilling beer on the court and some of it splashed on him...
Nate Robinson has been traded to Boston but expects to be on a playoff team soon.
ESPN reports that the Denver Nuggets traded point guard Nate Robinson to the Boston Celtics for Jameer Nelson. While many in Boston were excited about the potential of seeing the exciting point guard, Robinson expects to seek a buyout of his contract with the hopes of signing with a playoff...
Timofey Mozgov is heading to Cleveland, and more Nuggets players may be shipped off soon as the franchise struggles to find its way. But completely starting over would not be wise. (Chris Humphreys/USATSI)
Two seasons ago, the Denver Nuggets finished with a 57-25 record and placed third in the Western Conference. Under head coach George Karl, the Nuggets made their mark by ravishing...
The Cleveland Cavaliers are makin’ moves: ESPN.com’s Marc Stein and Brian Windhorst first reported on Wednesday that the team was close to acquiring center Timofey Mozgov from the Denver Nuggets. Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski later confirmed the deal is happening.
According to the reports, the Cavs will send two future first-round draft picks to Denver. Initially, the report...
While the playoff window hasn’t completely shut on them yet this season, the Denver Nuggets’ postseason chances seem to be getting dimmer and dimmer with every week that goes by. The Nuggets are currently ranked as the number 12 team in the western conference and while they technically could still make the playoffs with a late-season push, it may be time to start thinking about...

It’s been an eventful last few months for Rocky, the Denver Nuggets mascot. He attended a GOP rally, taunted Dwight Howard and was involved in a stunt gone wrong during Friday night’s Timberwolves-Nuggets game.
He put on a show for the fans in attendance while on the balance beam—wearing a tutu.
But he slipped, and ended up doing a variation of the splits—with the balance...
