There aren't many hard questions facing the Los Angeles Kings following their second Stanley Cup in three seasons, but the Kings still make it interesting.
They again muddled through another regular season, then turned it on thanks to the addition of Marian Gaborik and the emergence of the dynamic duo of Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson.
But there's always room for improvement...
When the Los Angeles Kings traded for Mike Richards in June 2011, it was a given that they had landed a cornerstone center for years to come. Richards was regarded as one of the finest 200-foot young forwards in the NHL.
The team did not envision Richards devolving into a fourth-line grinder who finished last season playing between Kyle Clifford and Trevor Lewis. The former captain...
Despite failing to receive so much as a nomination, many would argue that Drew Doughty was the best defenseman of the 2013-14 NHL season. Even before leading his team, the Los Angeles Kings, to their second Stanley Cup win in three years, Doughty had a strong case for the Norris trophy. While Doughty does not necessarily stand out on paper, posting barely above average statistics...
Los Angeles Kings defenseman Willie Mitchell wanted to enjoy the great outdoors with his friends and the Stanley Cup. He took Lord Stanley fly fishing and rafting in British Columbia. Quite a relaxing day to celebrate winning the best trophy in sports. [@KeeperOfTheCup]

Chris Pavlica and Zach Baumgartner are filmmakers who also happen to be huge Los Angeles Kings fans, and they’ve found a hilarious way to combine their passions. The duo has debuted a brand new web series that follows the (fictional) adventures of some of the Kings’ biggest stars, most notably talented 24-year old defenseman Drew Doughty, in their lives off the ice.
NHL free agent Paul Bissonnette already won the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge earlier this week with a brilliant use of a helicopter. However, Kings winger Marian Gaborik gave a commendable effort in crafting one of the more creative renditions yet.
Watch as he uses a zamboni to dump a heap of snow on him to complete the challenge from Kings teammate Jeff Carte.r

While the majority of the NHL has been in an absolute frenzy throughout the free-agency period, the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings have been nearly stagnant. Though many would argue that this makes the Kings nearly a lock to repeat their success in the upcoming 2014-15 season, in reality it seems quite unlikely. Change is an inevitability for all successful teams as a result...
Jonathan Quick is a good goaltender. Like really, really good. The Los Angeles Kings have won two Stanley Cups in the last three seasons, both of which represent the only two in the history of their franchise, and he’s a tremendous reason for that, the first one in particular. That means it’s all down hill from here, right?
That’s not to say that Quick is suddenly going...
Since giving guys a statue is the hot and cool thing to do, the Los Angeles Kings will be joining the party when they hold a “Legends Night” next year honoring former winger and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Luc Robitaille. The Kings are going to be doing a series of “Legends Nights” honoring members of the 1993 Stanley Cup finalists including Robitaille, Tony Granato and...
Jarret Stoll had his time with the Stanley Cup recently, and as hockey players are wont do, the Los Angeles Kings star not only brought it home to show it off, he utilized the most coveted trophy in all of sport in a wholly unconventional manner. Stoll spent some time at a well-attended party (above) […] The post Jarret Stoll took the Stanley Cup golfing, used it as a glorified...
The Los Angeles Kings are a strong defensive team. They led the NHL in goals against in 2013-14 and ranked 11th in penalty kill percentage. The Kings play a physically dominating style of play that can wear down teams. With a goalie as good as Jonathan Quick, who posted a .915 save percentage in 49 games last season, it is easy to overlook some of the team’s defenseman. I will...
A FedEx delivery man recently realized that he was delivering a package to Dustin Brown’s house, so he just had to say something. But unlike a person who sees a celebrity or athlete in the streets and doesn’t know what to say, the FedEx guy had at least some time to think. Yet all he […]
