ELKHART LAKE, Wi– AJ Allmendinger won Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Road America. Allmendinger was driving the No. 22 Ford Mustang for Penske Racing. Allmendinger started on the pole for the race, it was his first Nationwide start in five years. Justin Allgaier finished second, Parker Kligerman third, Owen Kelly fourth and Sam Hornish Jr. fifth. The race ended, with many drivers concerned about fuel, on the second green-white checkered attempt. With the Sprint Cup cars competing in Sonoma this weekend, their were no NSCS regulars in the race at the 14 turn, 4.048 mile track.
