Today, JR Motorsports announced a sponsorship extension with Hellmann’s Mayonnaise as well as Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s return to the Xfinity Series. Last year, the NASCAR Hall of Famer almost won the Bristol night race and he’s back to try again this year.

Hellmann’s will serve as the sponsor for the No. 88 Chevy once again. The brand will also join up with Justin Allgaier on the No. 7 car for six races this season. This new sponsorship extension lasts through the 2026 season.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is coming back to the Xfinity Series and we can’t wait to see him race up front again.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. was leading laps and looked like he was going to win the Bristol race last September. However, a fire in the car cost him a shot at finishing the race. It wasn’t all bad news though, as the team owner got to ride with Justin Allgaier to Victory Lane afterward.

Right now, Bristol is the only race on Dale Jr.’s schedule. Last season he also competed in the Homestead-Miami race and finished P5. This will be Earnhardt’s last race before he turns 50 later this year. How special would another top-5 finish at Bristol be?

Dale Earnhardt Jr. back behind the wheel

You know, after seeing his reaction to the Bristol Cup Series race last week, it’s no wonder Dale Earnhardt Jr. couldn’t wait to make this announcement. He loves Bristol, the history, and racing there. It keeps him young and, by his account, improves his commentary when he’s covering a race as a broadcaster.

Hellmann’s and Dale Jr. are a pair that have become synonymous to NASCAR fans in recent years. Any time Dale is racing, fans will tune in, and if he gets another fast car like he had last year then it gets even more exciting.

“We are grateful for Unilever and Hellmann’s continued support and partnership,” said Earnhardt Jr. “They have played a huge role in our organization and our success ever since the early days of JR Motorsports, both on and off the track. They are a huge component to every part of our company, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”

Consistent sponsorship is key in motorsports. Hellmann’s will be riding along with Earnhardt and Allgaier a total of seven times this year. Allgaier is a recurring championship contender, although he has yet to break through and win that title.

After leading 47 laps last year, I’m ready to see what Dale Earnhardt Jr. can do this season. Give him a chance and he’ll make the most of it.
