MYRON LEWIS RUMORS & GOSSIP

Lions part ways with Ronnell Lewis, three others

The Detroit Lions used a fourth-round draft pick on Ronnell Lewis last year. Rather, they wasted one. Lewis, an undersized 6-foot-2, 253-pound defensive end, is one of four players released Sunday by the Lions to cut their roster to 80 players. The club must trim down to 75 by Tuesday at 4 p.m. The other players who failed to make the most recent cut were safety Chris Hope, cornerback...

Lions add former Bucs third-round pick Myron Lewis

Myron Lewis the 2010 third-round draft pick who was cut by the Buccaneers last week has landed in Detroit. A league source tells PFT that the Lions have signed Lewis. The Lions have been looking for depth in the secondary and improvement on special teams so Lewis makes a lot of sense for them.

Detroit Lions sign CB Myron Lewis

In a move made trying to bolster their defensive backfield, the Detroit Lions have signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Myron Lewis. Lewis is a former third-round selection and was released by the Buccaneers last week. Detroit does have secondary issues but this move should do little to rectify their issues. The move was first reported by PFT.com on Twitter. During his tenure with...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Waive DB Myron Lewis

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have opted to waive DB Myron Lewis after failing miserably to make a positive impression on the organization after having been drafted in the third round in 2010, 67th overall. In corresponding moves, they also waived LB Marvin Booker and signed CB Mason Robinson. Tunnel Vision: This does not come as a big shocker as he wasn’t even adequate for the Bucs...

Is CB Myron Lewis on the outs in Tampa Bay?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went into last Sunday's season opener against the Carolina Panthers down three cornerbacks. E.J. Biggers, who was Tampa Bay's nickel corner last season, is still nursing a foot injury. Anthony Gaitor injured his hamstring a week ago and still needs time to heal. But the third corner that was inactive – Myron Lewis – was a healthy scratch. ...

Healthy Lewis hopes to make impact with Bucs

Cornerback Myron Lewis is as puzzled as anyone about why his career is off to a painfully slow start with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The third-year pro battled nagging injuries that made it a struggle to get on the field the past two seasons, but he's confident he's on the verge of proving the team didn't make a mistake by drafting him in the third round. Nearly two...

CB Aqib Talib Suffers Ankle Injury, Myron Lewis Steps up in His Absence

Part of the fun about holding a night practice for the general public to come out and watch is that the intensity level gets taken up a notch. Players run a little faster, hit a little harder, and play a little better when thousands of fans are out there cheering them on. But part of the problem is that the chance for injuries increases as well. Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting cornerback...
