Since Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen was named to the All-NBA defensive first team, it’s safe to assume that Tony has a few defensive tricks up his sleeve.
During the first half of game four between Allen’s Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder, Tony decided to play keep-away from Thunder reserve Nick Collison by kicking the ball in the opposite direction:
Marc Gasol went up for a layup during the Grizzlies 90-89 overtime win over the Thunder and his knee found its way into Nick Collison’s groin. It was definitely unintentional but it doesn’t change the fact that it will make you cringe when you see it.
