The Cleveland Cavaliers have interest in Jordan Farmar.
Farmar was waived by the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
The Cavaliers have a need for depth at point guard.
Farmar played for David Blatt in 2011 with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
LOS ANGELES (AP) Jordan Farmar has been waived by the Los Angeles Clippers after 36 games.
The 28-year-old guard was averaging 4.6 points, 1.9 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 14.7 minutes as the backup to Chris Paul.
The move announced Friday creates roster room for the deal the Clippers made Thursday to bring guard Austin Rivers, the 22-year-old son of coach Doc Rivers, to play under...

The Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings have discussed a trade that would send Sessions to Los Angeles for Jordan Farmar.
Sessions has missed the last 10 games because of a low back strain.
Farmar is a career 37.4 percent shooter from three-point range, which would appeal to the Kings’desire for more perimeter shooters.

I was there. I saw it with my own eyes. The Los Angeles Clippers lost this past Monday night to the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 107-98, in a game which exemplified (man, that’s such a college word) by the routinely porous play of their bench players.
Other than Jamal Crawford, the Clippers have received absolutely nothing this season in terms of nightly contributions from bench...
The Clippers and free-agent point guard Jordan Farmar agreed in principle to a deal on Sunday, according to NBA executives who were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter.
Farmar agreed to take the Clippers' bi-annual exception of two years for $4.2 million. He holds a player option for the second season.
Farmar appears to be a good pickup for the Clippers after they...
“Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye” is what I began to sing when news broke out that Mike D’Antoni had resigned as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
After taking over the Lakers early in the 2012-2013 season, D’Antoni finished with a 67-87 win-loss record.

D’Antoni’s resignation brought about mixed feelings. Lakers...
Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar dropped Utah Jazz point guard Trey Burke with a indescribable double-crossover. The combination Farmar used to break Burke’s ankles was wickedly similar to the maneuver Andre Iguodala performed on Quincy Miller last week. Burke should know at this level of competition, defense can’t be played on the heels of your feet. The slow motion gives...
I wonder what Swaggy P will say about this one.
Jordan Farmar got creative with his Valentine’s Day gift for his wife this year.
Someone, somewhere took a topless photo of Farmar and his wife Jill. It then seems that the two-time NBA champion had the image printed onto a blanket.
Is this creepy or cool? Judging by the comments on Farmar’s Instagram account, the girls love it...
Missing a month and coming back against the two-time defending champion Miami Heat is no short order.
Such is the life of Lakers point guard Jordan Farmar. His return to the lineup was a welcome sight for the team that was without a point guard in its previous seven games.
Thrust into the starting lineup, Farmar played 33 minutes in the 101-95 loss.
As expected there was plenty of...
Today, the Lakers got some good news regarding one of their injured point guards. Finally.
Jordan Farmar has been fully cleared after tearing his left hamstring at the beginning of the month and will start tomorrow afternoon against the Miami Heat:
INJURY UPDATE: @JrFarmar’s ultrasound showed that his hamstring is completely healed.
He is cleared to play.— Los Angeles Lakers...
