Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. at Las Vegas o Stenhouse will make his first Sprint Cup career start at Las Vegas this weekend. o Stenhouse has three Nationwide career starts, earning two top-10 finishes and one win. o Stenhouse is currently tied for eighth in the Sprint Cup point standings with Jeff Gordon and Aric Amirola. All have 60 points. The Car o Chassis RK-820 is the same chassis that the No.17 team used for the Charlotte test in 2013. o The backup Chassis RK-815 was a chassis that the No. 99 ran numerous times in 2012. Zest o High Ridge Brands is the name of the parent company/private equity firm. o Zest’s first year in NASCAR was 2012 when they sponsored the No. 17 Ford. Stenhouse on Las Vegas: “I really look forward to racing at Las Vegas. We tested at Charlotte earlier this year which is another mile-and-a-half track and were really fast. I’ve had a lot of success on mile-and-a-half tracks in my Nationwide career including winning the Nationwide race at Vegas last spring. Our No. 17 team is new and we are all learning. I feel confident that we can get a top-10 finish with our Zest Ford Fusion at Vegas.” Crew chief Scott Graves on season and Las Vegas: “We have finished decent the past two weekends. If we can maintain top-15 finishes, I think we will have a shot of making the Chase. We are a new team so we are learning. We are feeling confident going into the Las Vegas weekend because we had a successful test at Charlotte which is a similar style track. We get an extra day out there for testing so hopefully we can get the No.17 Zest Ford dialed in to Ricky’s liking. He won here last year in the Nationwide race so he knows how to get around this mile-and-a-half track.”
