RA DICKEY RUMORS & GOSSIP
TORONTO (AP) R.A. Dickey lost control of his knuckleball, and it cost the Toronto Blue Jays the lead.
Dickey issued consecutive bases-loaded walks in the fourth inning and the Tampa Bay Rays beat Toronto 2-1 Monday night.
''I lost my release point a little bit in the fourth,'' Dickey said. ''They really made me work. They did a good job of laying off some really close pitches and...

R.A. Dickey‘s entire career has, essentially, been one giant experiment. You know the story by now. Dickey was drafted by the Texas Rangers back in 1996, and took a signing bonus for nearly $800,000 less than what was originally offered after team doctors discovered he just didn’t even have an ulnar collateral ligament in his […]

And, now, I know what you’re thinking, isn’t that basically what the documentary “Knuckleball” was? And the short answer would be…kinda. R.A. Dickey is getting up to speed this spring.
Dickey made his exhibition debut Thursday, starting for the Toronto Blue Jays and giving up one unearned run in two innings during a 7-5 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
For the first time out, Dickey said his floater was fine. He walked back-to-back batters in the opening inning, but said there was a reason for that.

This year, Dickey is almost universally...
