Florida State continues to stay active in the NCAA Transfer Portal to provide depth across the roster. The Seminoles are in the middle of hosting multiple transfers in Tallahassee but they don't always need someone to come in for a visit to net a commitment.
Another familiar name joins the Tribe. Yet another familiar name is coming to Tallahassee. FSU pursued former UCF Knights defensive back transfer Davonte Brown last offseason, but Brown chose the Miami Hurricanes to play with his brother, former FSU target and fellow defensive back, Damari Brown.

With the departure of Davonte Brown to the Transfer Portal, the need to add more cornerback talent became obvious for the UCF Knights. They already hold a commitment from prep talent Braeden Marshall from nearby Lake Mary (Fla.) High School, as well as Jason Duclona from Estero (Fla.) High School.

The turnaround from 2020 through the conclusion of the 2021 season for the UCF Knights’ passing defense is stark. The Knights went from allowing 299.2 passing yards per game in 2020 to 210.1 in 2021.
