Trent Beretta was sent home from AEW Dynamite.

Tony Khan wrote on X that Beretta was sent home to recover following an attack that took place on last week's Dynamite, where members of the Undisputed Kingdom attacked him and Orange Cassidy.

"After the attack last Wednesday during the Texas Death Match, as @trentylocks took steel chairs from the Kingdom + the knee to the head from @roderickstrong, Trent has been pulled by @AEW docs from #AEWDynamite and sent home to rest. @OrangeCassidy is being evaluated by docs now."

Khan wrote in another tweet that Cassidy and Bennett didn't know they were wrestling each other in a singles match until "hours" before the show started.

“2 total pros @orangecassidy vs. @RealMikeBennett + legitimately they had no idea they were doing a 1-on-1 match tonight on @TBSNetwork on #AEWDynamite until the doctors made the call today and had to send Trent home hours before the show,” he wrote.

Prior to their match, an AEW doctor announced on Dynamite that Cassidy was cleared to compete despite taking beatings in recent weeks not only in AEW, but also at RevPro over the weekend. Despite the toll on his body, Cassidy went on to defeat Bennett on Dynamite. After the match, Matt Taven and Roderick Strong attacked Cassidy until Jake Hager came out for the save. It was then announced that Hager will face Strong on this Friday’s Rampage.

Khan noted on X that this week "has been one of the most hectic weeks for injuries + unexpected unavailability that I can recall in @AEW, especially since the pandemic era."
