Serena Deeb is reportedly at odds with AEW management which has resulted in the veteran wrestling having 'heat' behind the scenes.

Deeb signed with AEW in September 2020, an action that did not prevent her from capturing the NWA Women's World Championship the following month. Deeb has also worked as a producer and coach within AEW.

Serena Deeb Off TV

Deeb recently attended the Cauliflower Alley Club, making one of her first public appearances in quite some time. Fightful reported over the Summer that Deeb had been sidelined and not factored into creative and sources within AEW said at the time that she was not injured. Deeb has told people that she's dealt with a serious injury and is working to get cleared.

Deeb & AEW at Odds

In an update, Fightful Select reports that a serious disagreement with management last year led to Deeb being off television. Deeb was said to be very vocal about her use on AEW TV, especially the time that she has been given for matches. Those close to the situation that her comments became disrespectful as she accused Tony Khan and AEW management of cutting the time for her matches without telling her until they got to the ring.

The claim on the AEW side of things was that they actually got a list of times and showed Deeb that her time wasn’t cut based on what was originally budgeted. It is said to be typical for producers and coaches in companies to not relay times for matches until plans are finalized, to prevent wrestlers from being upset when cuts happen.

Those close to Deeb within AEW haven't heard this story from her, but it is one several AEW stars and others in the company have heard. Fightful adds that this situation has led to her having 'heat.'
