At Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor, Minoru Suzuki reached a new high in his legendary career.

The veteran challenged Rhett Titus for the ROH World Television Championship at the show and emerged victorious. In doing so, he won his first singles title in the United States.

Here’s how the match broke down, courtesy of our play-by-play coverage

ROH World Television Championship: Rhett Titus (c) vs. Minoru Suzuki

Suzuki uses some of his signature stiff strikes early on. He grounds Titus with some wrenching submissions. Titus fires back with some strikes of his own. The champion suplexes Suzuki and drills him with two pump kicks. A back suplex earns Titus a two count. Suzuki traps Titus in a leg-lock, but the champion reaches the ropes. The two men trade blows, and Suzuki plants Titus with a Gotch-style piledriver.

Titus won the gold at ROH Final Battle: End of an Era. Supercard of Honor was the promotion’s first event of the year and the first under new owner Tony Khan.
