First-ever Will Ospreay vs. Claudio Castagnoli match set for AEW Dynamite

Before Dynasty, Will Ospreay is set for a first-time-ever matchup against Claudio Castagnoli.

Tony Khan has announced that Ospreay vs. Castagnoli will take place on Dynamite next Wednesday. It's the final episode of the show before AEW's Dynasty pay-per-view.

"This match could steal any show," Khan wrote. "2 of the best wrestlers alive fight 1-on-1 for the first time ever in Indy live on TBS! Claudio vs Ospreay Next Wednesday!"

Castagnoli is a member of Blackpool Combat Club, which also includes Bryan Danielson. A dream match between Ospreay and Danielson is set to go down at the Dynasty PPV on Sunday, April 21.

On last night's Dynamite episode, Ospreay did an interview building up his Dynasty match against Danielson. He also responded to an apparent shot that WWE executive Paul "Triple H" Levesque had taken at him. Ospreay refuted that he's afraid of the grind.

Danielson & Castagnoli are teaming up against Ospreay's Don Callis Family stablemates Powerhouse Hobbs & Kyle Fletcher on Collision this Saturday.

Next Wednesday's Dynamite is being held at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis, Indiana.
