Bryan Danielson vs. Katsuyori Shibata dream match set for AEW Collision

Bryan Danielson's personal dream match run through AEW will continue on this Saturday's Collision as he faces former NJPW star Katsuyori Shibata.

This will be their first ever time in the ring together with the storyline being that Shibata is returning in order to gain revenge on the Blackpool Combat Club.

The 42-year-old Danielson is preparing for another dream match in April as he faces Will Ospreay at AEW's Dynasty pay-per-view. As continues what he has said is his last full-time year in the business, he has faced Kazuchika Okada, Yuji Nagata, Hechicero, Zack Sabre Jr., Eddie Kingston and Jun Akiyama this year alone.

For the 44-year-old Shibata, this is his first match anywhere since losing the Ring of Honor Pure title to BCC member Wheeler Yuta on a late-November edition of Rampage. It's also his first match since signing an AEW contract in December.

Danielson is coming off a win last Saturday over Shane Taylor.
