Napheesa Collier beats the buzzer as Lynx keep winning
USA TODAY Sports

Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx are gaining steam and continue to climb the WNBA standings after she hit the game-winning shot in a 99-97 road victory over the Seattle Storm Thursday night.

Collier hit the winning jumper with 1.8 seconds left in overtime.

Collier finished with 31 points, eight rebounds, five assists, six blocks and one steal. It was her second consecutive 30-point game and she's now tied for second in the WNBA in scoring at 22.4 points per game.

Kayla McBride and rookie Diamond Miller both scored 19 points for the Lynx.

Minnesota is now 6-9 after starting the season 0-6. Overall, they sit in eighth place in the WNBA but are only one game out of fifth. Their winning ways could continue Saturday when they take on the last place Phoenix Mercury (3-11).
