Phoenix first announced Taurasi's injury on May 25 and explained at that time she would be sidelined for at least four weeks. According to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN, the two-time WNBA Finals Most Valuable Player underwent a CT scan Tuesday and then showed she could handle 5-on-5 contact action before Friday's development.
Taurasi suffered the fracture on May 16 but competed in the following two contests. She was averaging 15.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds across only four games this season before the injury.
The Mercury fell to 6-7 on the campaign without Taurasi.
