Los Angeles Sparks sign four-time All-Star C Liz Cambage

The 30-year-old center was selected second overall by the defunct Tulsa Shock in the 2011 WNBA Draft and spent the first two seasons of her career there. Cambage was named an All-Star and to the All-Rookie team in 2011, but elected to play in China in 2012.

Cambage then returned to the Shock in 2013, but again left to play in China. This time, the center didn't return to the WNBA until 2018, when she signed with the Dallas Wings.

During her one season with the Wings, Cambage averaged a career-high (and league-best) 23.0 points, plus career-highs in rebounds (9.7), assists (2.3) and minutes per game (29.5) as well. She set a WNBA record for points in a game with 53 in July 2018 and made her second All-Star team and was named first team All-WNBA.

In May 2019, Cambage was traded to the Las Vegas Aces. She made the All-Star team again and was named second team All-WNBA, but elected to sit out the 2020 WNBA season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cambage then decided to play with the Southside Flyers of the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) for the 2020-2021 campaign. She returned to the Aces for the 2021 WNBA season and made her fourth All-Star team.
