All Elite Wrestling is reportedly doing a stadium pay-per-view in the United States this year with AEW Forbidden Door.

Earlier this morning, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that there were talks of All Elite Wrestling holding a pay-per-view in Arthur Ashe Stadium this year instead of the typical Grand Slam episode of AEW Dynamite.

Shortly following this report, Andrew Zarian, who has been teasing a pay-per-view stadium show for the company in the United States this year, took to social media to confirm PWInsider.com’s report that AEW Forbidden Door will take place in Arthur Ashe Stadium this June.

Zarian also went on to state that AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam will still take place in September. He initially went as far as to note that it was scheduled to be held at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens. However, Zarian deleted this post, and said things are changing, and it’s too soon to announce Grand Slam’s location. He later went on to note that the Grand Slam location had changed since he’d received the information, and apologized for the confusion.

While a date in June for Forbidden Door hasn’t been confirmed as of yet, June 8-9 and June 22-23 are the only weekends that month when the New York Mets won’t be in town playing across the street. This seems like the only dates the pay-per-view could feasibly occur, but that has yet to be confirmed.
