It took Aleksandar Mitrovic just 42 minutes to score the first goal of his Saudi Pro League career.

The Serbian striker headed Al-Hilal 1-0 up away at Al-Raed on Thursday - five days after completing a £50 million move from Fulham.

Al-Hilal went on to win 4-0. Salem Aldawsari was on target twice before a late goal from Abdullah Al-Hamdan wrapped up an emphatic victory.

Both sides ended the game with just 10 players after Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Oumar Gonzalez saw red in the second half.

Al-Hilal's impressive win took the team that recently signed Neymar up to third in the Saudi Pro League table, with seven points from their first three games of the season.

Neymar did not feature against Al-Raed due to an ankle injury.

Elsewhere on Thursday, Karim Benzema scored the first goal of his Saudi Pro League career as Al-Ittihad won 4-0 away at Al-Riyadh.

Al-Ahli needed a 96th-minute winner to beat Al Akhdoud 1-0. It was scored by Franck Kessie after Roberto Firmino had flicked on a cross from Riyad Mahrez.

Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Al-Khaleej, while Al-Wehda won 3-0 on the road at Al-Ta'ee.
