Nine years ago today, Miroslav Klose scored an incredible five goals in a dominant victory over Bologna.

On 5th May 2013, Vladimir Petkovic’s Lazio walked out to a half-full Stadio Olimpico to face Stefano Pioli’s Bologna, a match that meant relatively little to both sides, with little left to play for.

Klose decided to take the match into his hands and run with it. He scored three goals in the first half and two into the second, showing why he’s such a respected forward. The other goal in that 6-0 win was scored by Hernandes. The German striker was ultimately substituted off in the 68th minute to make way for Louis Saha.

On the ninth anniversary of this achievement, Lazio decided to remember all five goals.
