Former Aberdeen manager Neil Warnock has said that he believes Bojan Miovski could join Celtic in the summer. The veteran boss left Pittodrie after a short stint in the Premiership but was left impressed by the North Macedonian forward.

Speaking to TalkSport, Warnock thinks that the Dons could cash in on their star forward as they look to rebuild under a new manager.

“I think they possibly will sell him in the summer. I think obviously the top two, he would fit in with them as well because he works hard.

“He did about 10km running when we played Rangers, he worked his socks off, but he’s a good finisher and I think it’s done him a world of good going to Aberdeen.”

Celtic have been linked with Miovski on a couple of occasions over the last year as Brendan Rodgers looked to strengthen in the forward areas. However, no move transpired as Celtic appeared unwilling to meet Aberdeen’s valuation.

Miovski has scored 23 goals and assisted on 4 occasions in 45 appearances this year, bringing his total contribution to 41 goals in 87 appearances. Celtic opted for Adam Idah in January; although, his future at the club remains uncertain with no buy clause inserted in the loan deal.

Meanwhile, for Warnock, he is now out of the game after a fairly disastrous spell in the North East of Scotland. Aberdeen have yet to replace the Englishman and remain in the bottom six, where they will likely remain. The mood around Aberdeen isn’t great and it is expected that they have sold just over 7k tickets for the Scottish Cup Semi Final against Celtic.
