USWNT stars Ashlyn Harris, Ali Krieger gush over six-month-old daughter Sloane

Goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris and defender Ali Krieger met while playing for the U.S. women's national team in 2010, and now that they're moms to six-month-old Sloane, they can see how valuable having that specific foundation for their relationship truly is.

"I do think that being teammates for so long, we have a certain respect for each other that I feel like carries over into our relationship," Krieger, 37, told People. "I think that has helped us in taking care of something so precious. We're a team for sure. We're high-fiving in the hall as we put her back to sleep."

Harris, 35, added: "Family comes first now. Before, to be the best at what we do, we've had to put ourselves first. That's kind of been our life since we were kids. Now that we have a child, our day just begins when we get home from training. Our life revolves around our child and what she needs and showing up for her in all capacities."

The soccer stars, who currently play together for the Orlando Pride of the NWSL, mostly kept their relationship private until announcing their engagement in March 2019. Things moved rather quickly from there: winning the Women's World Cup — their second time after 2015 — in July and getting married that December.
