Marcus Rashford has quickly redeemed himself in the eyes of his manager and Manchester United supporters following last week’s clubbing incident.

The frontman returned to the starting 11 this evening for the Reds’ clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home.

It took just five minutes for Rashford to make his mark on the game, as he netted the opening goal with a superb edge-of-the-box slotted finish past Jose Sa.

Reacting to the early strike in the away end at Molineux, the travelling United faithful then rang out (as per Samuel Luckhurst): “Rashford’s on the p**s”.

United lead 2-0 at half-time

Rasmus Hojlund went on to double the lead in the 22nd minute to mark his third goal in as many Premier League matches. United saw several clear-cut chances squandered in the closing stages of the first half – ones that undoubtedly could’ve killed the game off – so a dominant 45 minutes to seal all three points on the road is crucial.
