Tottenham star provides injury update after picking up a knock against West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur had the opportunity to make their way back into the top four of the Premier League but they failed to come out on top against West Ham United away from home.

Brennan Johnson who scored for Spurs in the 1-1 draw picked up a knock late in the game and he has provided an injury update.

The 22-year-old Welsh winger who arrived at the club last summer from Nottingham Forest has had a great first season. In his 27 Premier League outings for Tottenham, Johnson has 12 goal contributions despite not being a regular starter.

In the game against the Hammers, the Welsh international found the back of the net in the third minute of the game. He managed to convert a low cross by Timo Werner. While the goal gave Spurs the lead, West Ham levelled things up in the 19th minute. Despite multiple attempts, the North London club couldn’t score again and the match ended in a draw.

Brennan Johnson shares injury update

The 22-year-old picked up a knock late in the game and he was then replaced by Giovani Lo Celso in the 90th minute. He went straight down the tunnel after getting subbed, raising concerns among the Spurs fans.

However, the player has provided an update that the knock was nothing serious and he is fit to continue.

Johnson said to TNT Sports via TBR Football: “It’s all good. It’s just from the corner. I got a kick in my knee, but it’s fine. I’m all good.”

Johnson has dismissed any concerns by providing an update on the injury blow. He is an important player for Spurs and they will need him in the final phase of the season. The update will come as a major boost for the club and the Tottenham fans will hope he can continue his great run of form.
