Tottenham have ‘concrete’ interest in bring 28-year-old UCL semifinalist back to England

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry.

Serge Gnabry’s future at Bayern Munich is currently up in the air. While the 28-year-old forward’s contract with the German giants runs until the summer of 2026, there is a big possibility of him being on the move in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Bayern are ready to negotiate the departure of the German international and Tottenham Hotspur seem to have a ‘concrete’ interest in bringing the Champions League semi-finalist back to England as per a report by Football Insider.

Gnabry was a youth player for Arsenal. While he did make it to their first team, things didn’t really work out for him back then and he ended up returning to Germany in the summer of 2016. After an impressive season at Werder Bremen, Bayern acquired his services in the summer of 2017.

He has since been an integral part of their first team since. But, a lot has changed recently and he has fallen down the pecking order at the German club. He has struggled with injuries and the 28-year-old has only featured in 17 matches this term.

His contract with Bayern runs until the summer of 2026 but he might not be a part of their first team beyond the upcoming summer transfer window. As per the report, Bayern are ready to sell and Tottenham are the ones interested in bringing him back to London.

Ange Postecoglou needs more firepower in attack and he is looking for someone who can add depth abd quality to his side. Gnabry is a versatile forward who can slot into multiple roles and he could be a useful signing for them.

Meanwhile, the winger will now focus on ending the season with the German club on a high and winning a major trophy with them. Bayern Munich are through through the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League and they will be hoping to go all the way in the tournament.
