Tottenham edging ‘ever closer’ to signing versatile 21-year-old who would cost €15m

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Udinese player Festy Ebosele.

The 21-year-old can operate as a winger as well as a full-back. His performances have attracted the attention of the Premier League club and they could look to make a move for him at the end of the season.

According to Mondo Udinese, the 21-year-old could be brought in as competition for Pedro Porro. The Spaniard has been outstanding for Tottenham this season and competition for places will only help the team improve further. The report at that Tottenham are edging ‘ever closer’ to signing the player.

Alternatively, Ebosele could be a replacement for Emerson Royal who has been linked with a move away from the club previously.

The report further states that the youngster could be sold for a fee of around €15 million. Tottenham certainly have the financial muscle to afford the asking price and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with a concrete proposal to sign the versatile wide player.

The two clubs have previously worked on the Destiny Udogie deal and there is a an amicable relationship between them. It remains to be seen whether they can finalise an agreement soon.

A move to the Premier League will be an exciting step up for the 21-year-old and he will look to test himself at the highest level. There is no doubt that he could develop into a key player for Tottenham with the right guidance and the reported asking price could look like a major bargain.
