There continues to be speculation regarding who will be AC Milan’s head coach heading into next season, and a report has claimed that they have been offered the chance to hire a former manager.

At the risk of being hyperbolic, there is a real chance that the next five days will decide whether or not Stefano Pioli keeps his job as the head coach of Milan for the 2024-25 season.

Pioli’s position has been in question several times due to various crises in terms of results, and should he not engineer a comeback in the Europa League against Roma tonight, he would be back in the docks.

Moreover, Milan lost all five derbies against Inter in 2023 and on Monday night they face them for the first time in 2024, knowing that if they lose then the Nerazzurri will seal the Scudetto.

As reported by Telelombardia (via PianetaMilan), Massimiliano Allegri – the Rossoneri’s head coach from 2010 to 2014 – has been offered to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He should say goodbye to Juventus at the end of the season and it has been circulated that he would welcome a return to Milan.

At the moment there has been no response from the Rossoneri management as they want to see how Pioli does in the next couple of games. Napoli are another plausible destination for Allegri, while PianetaMilan point out how they reported the idea weeks ago.

We must also remember that Luca Momblano did a segment live on Telelombardia in February in which he claimed that Conte has reached a verbal agreement to take over at Milan.
