Spezia defender Ethan Ampadu appreciates playing for new coach Leonardo Semplici.

The on-loan Chelsea fullback was part of Spezia's victory over Inter Milan on Friday night.

He told La Nazione: "Each coach brings his own ideas, he has made us responsible, he has given us confidence and transmitted positivity.

"I came here to play and be an important element. I want to play every minute of every match.

"I'm only 22, so I hope I still have many years at the top level and can win trophies."

Finally on the victory against Inter, he added: "When you find yourself facing players like Lukaku, Lautaro and Dzeko, you know that at any moment they can find the goal.

"We had to defend ourselves well as a single body and I think we did it very well."
