Southampton chasing Everton defender Mason Holgate

Southampton are being linked with Everton defender Mason Holgate this summer.

The Saints are in the market for new players to bolster their squad in the Championship.

As they are set to lose several of their first team stars after relegation, the Saints want to ensure they are competitive and can bounce straight back up.

Per the Liverpool Echo, the Saints are eager to secure Holgate and may be ready to put in a bid.

The 26-year-old is available either on loan or on a permanent transfer, with Everton not eager to keep him.

Southampton would prefer a loan deal at this stage, while Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest are also interested.
