A former Manchester United star will not be heading to Miami in the near future.

Per Marca, Marcos Rojo turned down the chance to become Inter Miami's next big signing.

The Argentine centre half, who has struggled since leaving Europe a few years ago, was wanted by countryman Lionel Messi.

With the likes of Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami, with Luis Suarez on the way, Rojo may have fitted in perfectly.

However, he has informed Boca Juniors boss Juan Roman Riquelme that he would remain at the club.

Rojo has a deal at Boca that lasts until 2025, which he is happy to honor.
