Reports: Loan a formality as Krunic’s exit will ‘100%’ become permanent

Rade Krunic has officially joined Fenerbahce after six months of rumours, following the Turkish side’s obvious interest in the summer. The move was confirmed by both clubs earlier today, but the formula is initially not a permanent one. 

It was first reported that the Bosnian midfielder would join Fenerbahce on a permanent basis for around €5m. The fee hasn’t changed, but the move is a loan with an obligation to buy, and the latter will be triggered when certain conditions are met.

The formula was confirmed by Milan’s statement earlier today but as reported by MilanNews, this is merely a formality. The conditions for the obligation are ‘very easy’, and this is something that Calciomercato.com confirmed as well.

Fabrizio Romano was even more clear with his tweet, stating that there are ‘no doubts’ about the future of Krunic. He will ‘100%’ join Fenerbahce permanently in the summer once the initial loan agreement has come to an end.

A return in the summer would have made things very difficult for Milan, seeing as Krunic’s contract with the club will expire in 2025. By the looks of it, the Rossoneri have already found the Bosnian’s replacement in Filippo Terracciano.
