There has been plenty of rumours and reports surrounding Riyad Mahrez's future but The Athletic have suggested that he could be open to leaving Manchester City for a move to Saudi Arabia.

Mahrez had a very good season for Manchester City Mahrez playing 47 games in all competitions scoring 15 goals whilst getting 13 assists so if the treble winners do let him go they will require a decent fee for the 32-year-old.

Bernardo Silva was preferred to the Algerian international in the two cup finals which hasn't helped Mahrez's likelihood of staying at the club but a new deal is a possibility.

Whether Manchester City would move to find a replacement is something which Pep Guardiola needs to figure out with a midfield rebuild at the moment looking like the priority as well as another centre-back due to the fact that Aymeric Laporte could be leaving.

Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez can give City a massive goal supply so they may not lose too much but 27 goal contributions needs to be replaced somehow.

Phil Foden may be the answer on the right but the plan for him is to be used through the middle more just like when he was first coming through into the senior side.
