Paris Saint-Germain have a rising star in Xavi Simons, who is considered one of football’s most promising young talents. With the UEFA Champions League exit possibly signaling the end of the Kylian Mbappé era, fans are excitedly awaiting Simons’ return from his loan stint at RB Leipzig.

However, on Thursday, a report from RMC Sport revealed that Simons will not return to PSG this summer, as the player lacks the motivation to continue in the French capital.

While this news might have brought a glimmer of hope to clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and FC Barcelona, who are reportedly eyeing the 21-year-old, it’s clear that the French giants are not ready to part ways with Simons without a fight.

Le10Sport reported on Friday that PSG are closely monitoring Simons’ situation and patiently waiting for the end of the 2023-2024 season. Afterward, they’ll sit down with the Dutchman, hear him out, and decide on his future.

Meanwhile, manager Luis Enrique and sporting advisor Luis Campos have clearly expressed to Simons that he’s a priority, and they’re fully banking on him for the next season.

With confidence in his potential and his ability to step up as a technical leader in Paris, especially after Mbappé’s departure, Enrique and Campos remain upbeat about the player’s decision.
