Paul Pogba’s wife, Maria Zulay Salaues, shared a motivational message on Instagram days after the Juventus midfielder was banned for four years for doping.

The anti-doping tribunal confirmed a four-year ban for Pogba last week, but the French midfielder already announced he would file an appeal to the  Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Pogba’s wife, Maria Zulay, broke silence on social media on Tuesday, posting a motivational message seemingly dedicated to her husband.

The message read: “Keep going because you deserve to see what happens when all of your hard work pays off. Keep going because you are stronger than you think you are. Keep going because every step forward brings you one step closer to your goals. Keep going because the best is yet to come.”

Pogba failed a doping test on August 20, 2023, after the opening Serie A game of the season away at Udinese, a match he had spent entirely on the bench.

He has been precautionarily suspended since September 2023 and hasn’t trained with the rest of the team since.

Given that Pogba’s ban is longer than six months, Juventus could terminate his contract, but are not expected to make a final decision shortly.

The 2018 France World Cup winner returned to Turin on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2022.
