Paris Saint-Germain are making moves to ensure they land Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães this summer. A recent report revealed that there’s a small window to take advantage of his release clause.

The Parisians might have some surplus funds this summer, mainly if the rumors about Kylian Mbappé leaving are true. They might use this opportunity to bolster their squad by investing in a top-notch midfielder to reinforce that area of the team.

As a result, talkSPORT reported on Friday that PSG have held talks with representatives of Guimarães. Several top clubs, including Manchester City and Real Madrid, are eyeing a summer move for the Brazilian, with the French giants among the interested parties.

The report adds that the 26-year-old has a “burning desire” to play in the UEFA Champions League. Furthermore, talkSPORT confirmed that there’s a short window to secure a deal involving the £100 million release clause in his contract, which expires at the end of June.

It will be interesting to see if Newcastle can withstand the bids coming for Guimarães to remain with the team or if these offers are too enticing to pass up.
