Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

CF Montreal acquired Dominik Yankov on a permanent transfer from Ludogoretz Razgrad in Bulgaria and signed the midfielder to a three-year deal that also includes two option years.

The deal, which came together using targeted allocation money, returns Yankov to Canada where he spent time in Toronto's Power FC academy. Internationally, the 23-year-old represents the Bulgarian national team.

The three-year deal runs through 2026 with option years in 2027 and 2028.

Since joining the Ludogoretz first team in 2018, Yankov has scored 15 goals with 14 assists in 128 games. The club won four consecutive titles in Bulgaria from 2018-23 while also winning the Bulgarian Cup last year and the Bulgarian Supercup in 2022.

Yankov has not only participated in UEFA Champions League qualifiers with Ludogoretz, he also has 17 appearances with the Bulgarian national team.
