It has been one year since Marcos Rojo joined Boca Juniors after leaving Manchester United and the defender has no regrets about making the switch back to South America.

The defender became one of the players United wanted to get off their books last year, so an undisclosed fee was agreed for Rojo’s signature last February, as per BBC Sport. We never looked back and went on to sign Raphael Varane in the summer.

Moreover, Rojo had not been making appearances for United so he was sent on loan to Estudiantes where he played just one match, but thankfully since joining Boca Juniors, the former United defender has been able to shake off those injuries and become a first team regular for the Argentine outfit.

This week he celebrated his one-year anniversary with Boca Juniors.

Rojo wrote the following on Instagram: “A day like today but a year ago I arrived at @bocajrsoficial. Personally, I assumed a huge challenge, knowing the responsibility and commitment that wearing those colors meant! Today I can say that I made the right decision… And there are still many more to come!”

Does he mean years or decisions?

Rojo has made 30 appearances for Boca Juniors and it sounds like he’s enjoying his career again.

During his time at Old Trafford, Rojo won the FA Cup, League Cup and the Europa League.
