Manchester United are emerging as a contender to sign Girona star left-back Miguel Gutierrez.

The 22-year-old has been hugely impressive for the surprise package of the La Liga season so far.

As Girona sit near the top of the table, Gutierrez is very much putting himself in the shop window.

Per The Sun, United have been sending scouts to watch the left-back in recent weeks.

His footballing intelligence and general play have impressed United a great deal.

A winter move is unlikely, but United are prepared to put in a bid in the summer.
