Man Utd No2 Van der Gaag wanted by Ajax

Manchester United assistant manager Mitchell van der Gaag is being linked to the Ajax job.

Van der Gaag, who was also the assistant of Erik ten Hag at the Dutch club, could be set for an upgrade in his post.

Per Voetbal International, he is one of a few names the Dutch giants are assessing.

Liverpool assistant boss Pepijn Lijnders is also one of the candidates on the table.

He is leaving Liverpool along with manager Jurgen Klopp, as he wants to be a head coach himself.

There is no indication whether Van der Gaag would take on the job of Ajax if offered.
