AC Milan youngster Daniel Maldini has got two big decisions to make on his future at the end of this season, as he could change both club and country.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), the son of Milan legend Paolo Maldini could be leaving Milan on a permanent basis this summer as Monza are very keen to make the loan permanent.

Milan would likely be open to the sale given his original loan at Empoli featured an option for the deal to be made permanent.

Interestingly, Maldini has another big decision to make. Whilst his father is one of the names most synonymous with the Italy National Team, his mother is from Venezuela. The South American nation are keen to convince Maldini to play for them, and they do have a shot at qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

He has not been called up to an Italy squad of any age group since September 2021 so he could be tempted to look elsewhere, but he may also think that a move to Monza and some good form will put him back in the frame for Italy call-ups.

Having not represented the senior squad yet, he is still eligible to play for Venezuela instead.
