In what is perhaps the surest sign yet that Liverpool are looking beyond life with Mo Salah, reports suggest that the Reds are ready to battle with Premier League rivals, Chelsea, for a highly-rated hit-man.

Jurgen Klopp has already announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the current campaign, so any pursuit of players could be said to be with a new manager in mind.

Chelsea still retain the services of Mauricio Pochettino, however, the way the season is panning out for the Blues manager, he too could be leaving his post come the summer.

Although he missed a couple of presentable chances against Real Madrid in this week’s Champions League encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu, RB Leipzig’s Lois Openda has had a superb season in terms of numbers.

Fichajes detail that he already has 21 goals and five assists from 35 games in all competitions, and the outlet also suggest that both Liverpool and Chelsea are ready to offer the 23-year-old a pathway to the Premier League.

It isn’t clear at this point if Leipzig would welcome any bids for their player, however, if a suitable offer is forthcoming and the player indicates he would like to try a new experience, then the likelihood is he’ll be sold to the highest bidder.
