Former Watford boss Javi Gracia is set for a second spell in the Premier League after being confirmed as Leeds United's new manager.

Leeds issued a statement on Tuesday to announce that Gracia had "agreed a flexible contract at Elland Road".

Gracia's first game in charge of Leeds will be a home clash against relegation rivals Southampton on Saturday.

Leeds have been without a permanent manager since Jesse Marsch was fired on February 6.

Since Marsch's departure, Leeds have taken one point from three matches.

Leeds currently sit 19th in the EPL table.

Gracia took charge of 56 Premier League matches as Watford manager between January 2018 and September 2019.

Since leaving Watford, the 52-year-old Spaniard has had spells at Valencia and Qatari side Al Sadd.

His resume also includes stints at Rubin Kazan, Malaga, Osasuna, Almeria and Cadiz.
