James Milner Lifts Lid On Liverpool's Future After Receiving MBE at Ceremony

The 37-year-old will become a free agent in June if he does not sign a new deal, having joined the Reds from Manchester City in 2015 on a free transfer.

He has racked up 319 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, scored 26 goals, and provided 46 assists in the process.

Milner has won six trophies at Liverpool including the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup, Carabao Cup, and Emirates FA Cup.

This season, his game time has been reduced despite featuring in 30 games, mostly from the bench as Jurgen Klopp's side continue to push for a top-four finish at the end of the season.

"It's easy to say yes after the result we had at the weekend obviously," Milner said after receiving his MBE at a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.

"I think everyone you speak to Kammy [Chris Kamara] he was saying you should play as long as you can.

"I feel very fortunate to be playing at an amazing club like Liverpool, in an amazing team that I'm playing with. I feel like I can still contribute and I feel good physically the majority of days so I'll keep working hard.

"I just want to keep contributing to a massive club like Liverpool and hopefully make an impact both on and off the field."
