The worst-kept secret in the wrestling world was that Jack Perry was coming back to AEW. For months, he has been wearing the “SCAPEGOAT” shirt in NJPW, not to mention his antics at the NJPW Wind City Showdown, where he mocked CM Punk.

When the Ladder Match for AEW Dynasty for the Tag Team Championships between the Young Bucks and FTR was announced, you knew Perry would return then. Matthew Jackson had been wearing Perry’s shirt. Nicholas Jackson had aired the AEW All-In footage, turning Jack Perry into the Scapegoat he claimed he was.

We know FTR were friends of Punk. The Elite EVPs claimed they were so distracted by the All-In fight they could not constrain them. So nobody was shocked when Jack Perry came through the stands to knock Dax Harwood off the ladder, allowing the Bucks to capture the tag titles for a third time. He was the fourth member of the New Elite.

As stated on the Full Press Wrestling, this was the perfect way to reintroduce Perry to the AEW audience, which did not see his work in NJPW. Plus, with Perry being escorted out by security, the Bucks will use their power to reinstate him.

It was a heck of a match between two rivals. You wondered how FTR would fare in this match, but these rivals took it to another level. Cash Wheeler was out of commission when Perry interfered after a full-speed suicide dive through the table into the barricade after Nicolas Jackson moved out of the way.

Other cool spots from the match included Nicholas Jackson’s 450-degree spin off the top rope onto Wheeler through a table on the outside. Harwood pile drove Matthew Jackson through a ladder on the other side of the ring.

What a wild match to close out the fourth chapter for these two teams. Not to mention, it was a great night for the Elite as Okada defeated Pac to retain the Continental Championship
