Injury boost for Spurs: Tottenham star out with ‘complicated’ injury could be back this weekend

Tottenham Hotspur have been quite unfortunate this season, grappling with an injury crisis that has affected the club severely.

Spurs midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is also among those at the club affected by it.

The Argentine midfielder has suffered three injuries this season, including hamstring and muscle issues, causing him to miss ten games for the club.

Lo Celso has been sidelined with his recent ‘complicated‘ injury since the beginning of January.

However, reports indicate that he has now recovered from it.

Tom Barclay, the senior football writer for The Sun, whose primary focus is on the Lilywhites, indicates that the attacking midfielder has been training throughout the week.

As the North London outfit prepares to host Brighton this weekend in the Premier League, Tom Barclay suggests that Lo Celso hopes to be included in the matchday squad for the fixture.

He shared the update on X:

“Understand Gio Lo Celso has been training all week and hopes to be back in the #thfc squad for Brighton this weekend”

While the former PSG midfielder is deemed fit, reports linking him to a move away from England are also emerging.

Super Lig club Galatasaray are reportedly edging closer to securing the player’s signature, with the transfer window in Turkey remaining open until the close of play on Friday.

Lo Celso is contemplating the possibility of departing due to the limited playing time under Ange Postecoglou this season.

He has only featured in ten league games this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

However, his injuries have prevented the Australian manager from selecting him regularly in the first place.

Whether Lo Celso stays at Tottenham for the remainder of the season or leaves before the Turkish transfer window closes remains to be seen.
