While there are still a few months until the summer transfer window opens, La Gazzetta dello Sport have already begun to hypothesise how AC Milan might look heading into next season.

According to what is being reported by this morning’s edition of the paper, OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram is a name that the Milan management want to potentially complete the department.

Knowing that a centre-forward will also arrive – with Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres and Bologna talent Joshua Zirkzee top of the list at the moment – La Gazzetta have taken a look at how Milan would line up if they got their main targets.

It starts with a familiar rearguard of Davide Calabria, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez as the back four in front of Mike Maignan.

Thuram is placed in the midfield double pivot alongside Tijjani Reijnders, meaning they think that the 4-2-3-1 system will remain whether Stefano Pioli is the head coach or not.

Then, an attacking trident of Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Rafael Leao should support the new striker, which the newspaper have down as either Gyokeres or Thuram.

Of course predicting how a team might line up months before the start of the next season is difficult, but if Geoffrey Moncada and co. get things right then it might not be too far wrong.
